“So many people spend their health gaining wealth, and then have to spend their wealth to regain their health.”

Balance

JOURNEY

It’s obvious that the world is out of balance: ecological systems are deteriorating, inequality is rampant, personal and societal finances are unstable and institutions like health care and education are dysfunctional.

We all fear change. When imbalances become extreme only a crisis can capture our attention. We finally acknowledge the need for change and work to address life’s challenges. We are beginning to see some success in the economy and the environment but progress is too slow.

Two other issues are the imbalance between male and female power and status and between the material and spiritual aspects of life.  In both cases we see things moving towards equilibrium but at a glacial pace. Special interests fear losing dominance but we are beginning to recognize that the middle path is where we find peace and contentment.
