The Journey from Divisiveness to Unity
Things to contemplate as we work to restore balance:
· How are things working? Am I, or others, satisfied with the current situation?
· Are people treated equitably? Is the gap between the rich and poor expanding or shrinking?
· Is the natural world sustainable? Are ecosystems thriving or declining? Is disruptive weather milder or more severe?
· Have we examined our priorities and values? Are we willing to take personal responsibility for the problems we have created?
· Have we done the inner psychological work as a prelude for attention to global issues? Are we letting go of self-serving behavior?
· Can we join like-minded people to replace old, limiting beliefs with more uplifting and enlightened ones?
· Can we prioritize the needs of the whole and moderate those of the individual?
· Have we fully understood that we are all innately connected? If so equity and sustainability will become the natural, automatic response to life’s experiences?
With the foregoing as background, determine if the current situation is how you want to live? If not, there is a clear incentive to change. Next, decide what you want. How about an equitable, sustainable, harmonious and peaceful life? Start by creating a plan to change your habits and thinking. Begin where the changes are simplest. Baby step by baby step, it will get easier as positive results are achieved.
There is wisdom and power in uniting with each other, whether it is two people united in a partnership, or millions of people united for a cause. Your connections amplify what is possible. Your connections amplify the skills and knowledge available to solve problems and to create dreams.
What concrete steps can be taken to reestablish balance?
· Review how you got into a situation that’s satisfying so few. This provides the roadmap and motivation to change what is not working.
· Set an intention. What do you want to accomplish and how will you do it?
· Determine how things can be improved. What can be eliminated, augmented or altered? Low hanging fruit is the place to start. Success leads to further success and helps build confidence.
· Persevere throughout this process. It took time for the current situation to develop, and it will take time to resolve. Today, we are accustomed to immediate communication and instant satisfaction. We can get frustrated when solutions are not promptly available. Be patient! As Craig D. Landsborough quipped, “Give God a little more time to do what you would screw up if you did it now.”
Visualize the path that you want to take. When planning my first psycho-spiritual workshop in China—an unlikely venue for this type of work—I was guided to see potential participants receiving the workshop invitation, deciding to attend and then traveling to the workshop. The workshop was attended by just the right number of participants who praised the results and called the information life changing.
· Stay focused on the work at hand. It is easy to get lost in one’s daily activities and forget the intent of the endeavor. Our intention is to reestablish balance by emphasizing equity and sustainability in all aspects of life.
· Trust the process. Trust is imperative because you will not know what is happening next nor how things will turn out. Pray for help; this work cannot be done alone. Help will be provided to those who request it. During my many trips to China, it became increasingly clear that I was supported by my guides. I often left the U.S. not knowing what group I would be speaking to or if anyone would show up. China is a long trip to make on speculation, but I was always inspired by the results.
Former U.S. Navy Commander and well-known medium Suzanne Giesemann recently channeled the following message for her “Awaked Way” blog (“Here to Help,” May 9, 2024)
“Yes, you have guides in the unseen realms. That is why it makes it so difficult for you to remember they are here to help you: they remain unseen. Must you stumble again and again until you get in the habit of calling on them for help? They will help to pick you up, but it is you who ultimately makes each choice moment by moment. Please do not complain if you get in trouble. Go back and look at the thoughts that led to the choices. How would things change if you asked for guidance before you made the choices? Ah, do you see? It is a cooperative effort.”
· Implementation is the next step. This is where help from unseen forces is so critical. You will receive what you need at just the right place and time. Trust and surrender to the process. Your conviction will increase as you complete each step.
· Review what has been accomplished and be grateful for the help you have received. Gratitude is an integral part of any review. Envision the work achieved and give thanks
for the unseen beings supporting you. In my experience, the help my guides provided was always more than I expected or even thought possible.
Step courageously forward knowing you are supported and loved. With determination, confidence and trust all will be well.
